Employability Skills Development Programme (ESD)/ Industry
Practices (IP)
Looking into the requirement of industry, after autonomy TCET’s T&P Cell has taken an initiative to start this program which can bridge the gap between industry and academia in the year 2019-20. It is a 1 credit course with a total of 40 hours’ duration. Industry experts are invited to deliver the session and they act as primary trainers. Faculty members were involved as secondary trainers where they conduct the doubt solving sessions, evaluation and assessment for the students and finally they submit the mark sheets. It is a compulsory course and all 100% students are required to complete the course as per the expectations. To ensure transparency and accountability, the structured and guided evaluations are carried out for each of the students to test their Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Attributes. The binary evaluation is followed for objective evaluation of students.
After revised curriculum under autonomy in 2023, the ESD programme was renamed as Industry Practices (IP) where students are provided technical training to make them full stack developers which will help them in becoming industry ready. The training is conducted for one week and evaluation is conducted after the delivery of the sessions.
